We love to spend our afternoons reading. There is something so relaxing about a good book. We also like books that are informative. We pick a topic that interests us and then we find the best book we can on the subject. After we read it we then share what we have learned with each other. We have done that since our children were much younger and they really have enjoyed it so we never stopped. It is one of those family things that I am glad they did not outgrow! We can find any books that we are looking for at Barnes and Noble. Another good thing is we can use Barnes Noble coupons online and save money while we are able to get the books that we want. That is a double good thing. We like to order our books online because I get what I want and I do not have to go shopping for them. I guess I have spoiled myself with the ease of online shopping and many others have too. It use to be you could get things cheaper at the local stores because you could get things on sale and use your coupons. Now that is also true of the internet so I do not have a desire to find a parking place or stand in line for my purchases. All I do is order and then they come to me. How simple is that?

One of the newest trends in investments is Buying Gold. Gold has been with us for thousand of years. It has been used for trade, money and decorations of tombs and caskets. Gold also has never been worth zero. This has been one of the most popular new way to invest your cash. Reminds me when they started offering mutual funds. My only question is with a mutual fund is that they invest in many different industries to give you the idea if one industry goes down the other industry will go up. So then why is it that the stock market goes down so do my mutual funds. Gold is a little bit different and it is not guided by the stock market like funds and gold can be used as a hedge against inflation. I know some that use gold as backup when there is no work to do, so they live off their gold bars they had purchased. Now gold can go up and down but it is always worth something, gold is getting to its highest per ounce cost since we have been keeping track. The good thing about investing in gold you can by many types. You can buy Gold Swiss or even French gold, gold is gold from anywhere you can get it. That is one of the popular things about gold is you can buy it from any country and it is still gold. Gold can be a good thing. I think that gold coins are some of the best looking coins but gold bars will work for my investments also.

It is time to move for many people. We have several of our friends that are moving. Some are just married and want to start their new lives in their first home and others have been transferred for their jobs. The end result is there are going to be a lot of moving vans on the road! When we first married we would find ourselves behind grocery stores hunting for boxes. The boxes would be miss matched and often smelled of fruits! We had to make what ever we could find work. We would often pack the boxes and then unpack them and return to pack them again! That is not the case anymore. Now you can buy moving boxes online. You can get any box and what ever size you need. Even those hard to find sizes. They have specialty boxes that fit the hard to fit items perfectly. Our friends have boxes designed to fit pictures which used to be a hard fit to keep them safe. We were able to pack their mirrors and their pictures in a safe box. The boxes were all sturdy enough to fill up and carry without worry of them breaking or tearing also and that is a big bonus. They even had boxes for dishes. Once we got them packed and they moved to their new place we were invited to their house warming party. They informed us that not one thing was broken during their move. They thanked us and gave us credit for the successful move but we had to give credit where credit was due and that was having the right boxes for the right items. That saved time and all of their breakables!
